Meet the People of Marée

Executive Chef

Andy Dekle

Chef Andy is working chef, who led his most recent restaurant kitchen (Cassis Bistro Alki) to very high customer ratings for food and the dining experience. As a teenager his first taste of cooking was French influenced, and after his culinary/chef training at Seattle Culinary Academy his work included a stint of six years in corporate kitchens focusing on systems, steaks and American food. He returned to more classic technique as a Sous Chef and then Chef for the highly rated private club The Ruins from 2005 to 2010.

Andy’s experience as Chef de Cuisine and Chef of the Local Vine and Portage Bay Café and Catering also added wine pairing and cooking for larger groups to his expertise. He was opening Executive Chef of Cassis Bistro Alki, which was successfully operated in the same location as Marée Bistro & Bar for two years.

The menu at Marée Bistro & Bar is hyper-seasonal using the bounty that the local Cascadia ecosystem has to offer season after season.
